In addition we offer a dive cruise from a live-aboard to
the best diving sites of the country including: The Similan
Islands/Koh Bon/Koh Tachai/ Rock Richelieu
Diving from a live -aboard
This 8 days package, whereby you spend 6 night on board does,
indeed, take you to the most beautiful diving sites in Thailand
Leaving Phuket in the evening offers the distinct advantage
of night travel thus allowing the divers to spend all their
time on diving. During the days on board divers can make 14-15
dives at different sites including some night dives. During
the cruise all meals are included. Also included are weight
belts, torches and air filling, accidents and recompression
chambre Insurance.
The Similan Islands (The nine islands)
The Similan Islands are located some 100 kms northwest
of Phuket. These nine tropical islands offer a variety of
excellent dive sites. With a visibility ranging between
25-40 meters, you are sure to enjoy the underwater scenery:
Huge granite rock formations with excellent swim troughs,
gardens of soft corals, big sea fans and schools of tropical
fish are awaiting you. If lucky you may even see Manta Ray
or more frequently White-tipped Reef Sharks and Leopard
sharks. The area was declared a Marine National Park in
1982.
Richelieu rock
Richelieu Rock, located some 90 kms north of the Similans,
is all worth the journey. The site has been known for many
years as a place to observe Whale Sharks and Manta Rays.
It is also a mating place for cuttle fish. Koh Ta Chai and
Koh Bon are known for their beautiful soft coral gardens,
where the impressive whale sharks and Manta Rays are frequent
dive buddies.
