Explore the Tham Tong caves where devote Buddhist have
placed hundreds of Buddha images. Continue to Luang Prabang,
declared World Heritage Site by Unesco. Admire the exquisite
temples of this enchanting city. Also see the former Royal
Palace, now a museum, where the last Lord of the "Land
of Legends" resided.
Over rolling jungle-clad mountains continue to Vientiane.
Explore this capital with the soul of a village and enjoy
a Lao beer and a papaya salad at one of the small food stalls
on the riverbanks.
Visit the morning market, where loafs of French bread exotically
contrast with the indigenous vegetables. Climb up the stairs
to Pataxai, the Lao version of the "Arc the Triomph".
In the Sisaket temple you can observe more then 6800 images
of Shakyamuni, the Enlightened One. Also visit Ho Pa Keow,
the former royal house temple with some fine bronzes and
the "Museum of the Revolution" in an impressive
colonial building…
